POLARITIES
Each trait is a neutral term and common ground for describing its own division between - and +.
For instance Passion's -Pole is -Identification, while its +Pole is +Self-Realization.
Because Passion is a MODE, this means at its most restrictive, Passion relates by Identifying, and in its most expansive, Passion relates by Self-Realizing. This describes the SPECTRUM of Passion.
SPECTRUM
The -Pole is always reactionary & exclusive of anything described as the +Pole, while the +Pole is always responsive & inclusive of anything described as the -Pole.
For instance if one were to be wounded, then to focus exclusively on that wound would be -.
While to heal and tend to that wound while navigating other experiences around+within means including the wound as part of the healing and part of your life, so it is +.
EVERY Trait will be entered first through its -Pole and expand into its +Pole.
But because life requires both contraction and expansion (eg. we need to breathe in to breathe out), being in the +Pole of any trait is not permanent, and one will need to "come down" to the -Pole eventually and restrict focus again. So it is essentially a CYCLE.
In the example above, this is like you fully healing from a wound, but then getting another, or focusing on the experience of that wounding again.
COUPLED SLIDING
Every Attitude, Goal, Mode and Ego Fear can use the energy of its "polar opposite" to rise out of its
-Pole and return to its own +Pole.
For instance Passion's polar opposite Mode is Reserve. Reserve's polarities are -Inhibition and +Restraint.
When Passion finds she is overly -Identifying, she can -Inhibit that process to allow some emotional
+Restraint and encourage +Self-Realization through that.
In other words, using your Partner Trait's - and + Poles lifts you out of your own trait's -Pole and returns you to its more expansive +Pole.
The Red and Indigo - Orange and Cyan - and Yellow and Violet traits are always pairs.
This process could be called "SLIDING".
Because of this, a Passionate Individual can Reserve her feelings if she finds she's struggling with Identification and needs more emotional management. And this might be a temporary fix, or be used for an extensive period of time, before she returns back to her natural Passion.
SNOWFLAKE
Think of each context as a 6 Sided Snowflake.
Each jutting edge/side is one of the traits, with the center of the snowflake being the Neutral Green trait.
For instance, Reserve might be the leftmost edge, and Passion might be the rightmost edge. This horizontal "line" across the snowflake is their inspiration-based axis.
NEUTRAL SLIDING
The only traits that are not coupled are GREEN.
This is because each Green trait is the neutral hub for its context. So any Green Attitude, Goal, Mode or Ego Fear can slide to any other trait in its context to return to its own +Pole.
For instance, the Green Neutral Mode is Observation, so it could "slide" to the energy of Reserve, Passion, Caution, Power, Perseverance or Orchestration's polarities to move from its own -Pole of Surveillance to its +Pole of Clarity. All 7 of these traits are the 7 Modes.
This is why Green is transparent and can show up as any trait- it can access all of them.
Ultimately, anyone with a Green Trait will have a few preferences of which traits on that Context you like to slide to most though.
Every trait can also slide to Green Traits too to infuse a bit of neutrality and comprehension.
So Passion, as well as Reserve, Caution etc. can slide to -Surveillance and +Clarity to return to their own +Poles. However, usually these traits like to keep mostly on their own axis.
CAUSE & EFFECT
This "sliding" is how the Attitude, Goal, Mode and Ego Fear traits can each move into their +Poles- but the polarities of the other 5 Contexts (ie. Body Type, Center/Part, Passage, Awareness and Essence) are all hooked into how - or + the Attitude, Goal, Mode and Ego Fears are.
As such, when the Mode, Goal, Attitude and Ego Fears are in their -Poles, the rest of the contexts follow.
So to move into the +Pole of your Basic Personality creates a cascading effect into the + poles across all the other contexts. Essentially, every trait is intimately linked with every other.
When you bring all of your Traits together from each Context, you can see how they mix & match seamlessly. Personality is like baking a cake, if you change even one ingredient in the batter, the cake will taste, feel and form in a unique way that's completely different from any other!
